INITIATION COURSES
Thought of as a journey through the main themes of Jacques Lecoq’s pedagogy, the initiation course is meant for young people with too little experience to apply for the professional course and to any person wishing to get familiar with the school’s pedagogy.
As in the professional course, the classes will be divided between movement analysis, improvisation and the students’ devised work.
One initiation course will take place for the 2026-2027 season:
– Initiation courses in Paris: Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm
at Les Tréteaux de France – CDN

Program
- Physical preparation
- Movement analysis
- Replay and silent play
- Neutral Mask
- Full masks (larval, utilitarian, etc.)
- Constraints of space and time
- Characters
Schedule
The season is divided into three terms, from October to June.
The course will take place from end of September to beginning of June.
Classes on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7 to 9:30pm and one week-end each term.
The planning is currently being developped.
Trial classes available on the first clas of the year.

- two recent photos: a portrait and one from top to toe (JPG format)
The classes are taught in French, so a basic knowledge of the language is required.
